He started from Jackson with a load of timber on his way home on the 11th in an intoxicated conditon. Got lost and not found till the 25th. He had wandered to the south, and his body was found lying on a snow drift twelve miles southwest of Jackson. He was a hunter and trapper. I would love to have a photo of him in his civil war uniform but don't know if there is one anywhere. I have a copy of his and Miranda's marriage license if you would like a copy I'll mail it.
