    1. LEE, Edward or Edmund?
    2. Graham Ley
    3. Hi Beverely Here is some info that I received some short time ago which might refer to your Edmund (John) LEE. If I was Edmund and I just lost my wife (the light of my life) and family, I think I might leave Shepherdstown. If he was lucky enough to strike up a new match so soon, he just could have been the Daddy of your Thomas. Do you know if your Ed was born in 1797? If he was I would be interested to hear what you find out about him please. I hope you do not mind my passing on your email Lotus! Good luck Beverley, Graham.......... Subject: LEE Edmund J. I took notes and a photo of the gravesites of an Edmund J. Lee family on a recent visit to Shepherdstown, Jefferson Co., W Va. LEE, Edm. J. - b. Mar. 27, 1828 d. Aug. 20, 1833 LEE, Eliza - Infant dau of Edmund J. Lee, Jr., and Eliza Lee - b. Apr. 3, 1830 d. Aug. 21, 1833 LEE, Eliza (Shepherd) - 1799-1833 LEE, James D. - Infant son of Edmund J. Lee, Jr. and Eliza Lee - b. July 25, 1832 d. Apr. 6, 1833 The family is buried in the Shepherd Burial Ground on New Street, Shepherdstown, east of the Episcopal Rectory. The town is named for the Shepherds who founded it. Eliza Shepherd Lee was a descendent of the founders. The LEE family is related to the Rbt. E. LEE branch, according to my notes. If you think these are relations of your Edmund John LEE, I will look up what I have on him. Good luck. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // Lotus D.
