Christopher Gist's granddaughter married Francis Preston Blair and their son Montgomery Blair had close ties with General Robert E Lee. General Lee's father General Harry Lighthores Lee spent alot of time in Pittsburgh. Most of these families are all intermarried with Planter John Lewis family.
