Nancy Charlotte Wesley history is recorded in the Wesley Book by Tom & Betty White as having three brothers, Zachariah Edward, Robert Henry, Benjamin Mose, Even tho we don't know the father or mother of this Wesley line, these brothers and sister hold up through history to be true names and dates. As of the above date I, Charles Ray Lee, son of Charles Alvin Lee, son of William John Adam Julius Lee, son of John Lee and Nancy Charlotte Wesley bring up the question's concerning the complete name of John Lee. 1 – Recorded in the Wesley Book as à John Lee 11, son of John Lee 1, 2 - Recorded in the Wesley Book as à lived in & went into c-army from Leon Alabama 3 - Ancestor Chart & military records by Richard Lee, à Andrew (first name of John) 4 - Ancestor Chart & Letter to Tom & Betty White from Sandra Wright à Edward (m-name) In July 1992 I was disabled with heart problems. So I began searching my family history something I have wanted to do for many years, My cousin had put together some history on our Lee family so I picked up where he left off. To my knowledge he received some of his information from the Tom & Betty White Wesley book, Also he sent for and received the military records of one Andrew John Lee from Pike county Alabama, There is also some Lee history recorded in the Hamilton county Texas history book about the Lee brothers and their trip from Pike county Alabama This article was wrote by the great granddaughter of Zachary Edward Lee, Mrs. Sandra Wright. Mrs. Sandra Wright wrote in a letter to Tom & Betty White that Zachary's Father's name was John Edward Lee and also stated she lost contact after he went into the war and served in Miss., Also she stated in a note on one of the genealogy sheets that Zachary's father died in Covington county Alabama, The Tom & Betty White Wesley book states that Nancy Charlotte Wesley Married John Lee Jr in Pulaski county Georgia on March 04, 1841, This record is in book "E" page 17, It states John Lee only ( no Jr,) In the 1840 census of Pulaski county there is a record of a John Sr. and a John Jr., One letter from a genealogy researcher suggest that this John Jr mite be the John that married Nancy Wesley if this is the bases for the "Jr" then most likely there is no "Jr" involved. Also on the 1840 census John Lee Jr shows to have a family with children, my great grandfather John Lee did not get married untill the year 1841 so this would have to be two different people. As for the name "Andrew" there was a Andrew John Lee from Pike county Alabama at this date I don't have anything to prove that My great grandfather name was Andrew. We know that Andrew John Lee was captured at Tilton Ga. On Oct. 08, 1864 and sent to prison in Chicago Ill. Where he died on Nov. 06, 1864. ( note ) war was over in April 1865 Five months after the death of Andrew John Lee. Records of Zachary Edward Lee, oldest son of John, says that Zachary spent the last six months of the war in the Chicago prison camp. If Zachary the son and Andrew the father was in prison at the same time there is no mention of it in family history anywhere to my knowledge. In the past I have put out genealogy sheets concerning Andrew John being husband Of Nancy Wesley and My Great grandfather, After much searching it looks possible That g-grandfather name was not Andrew, As of the above date the search begins for John Edward Lee, As with all genealogy one should not take anything for the truth until it is well documented. ================================================================== Charles R.
