White. <John Lee, #S 9372, SC Line, son of William Lee, Soldier lived in Orangeburg District, enlisted and also served as substitute for his father, applied for pension 20 Jul 1832, Fairfield District, SC at age 73.> The subject John Lee was born c1759 (1832-73=1759) and died after 1832. According to Roster of S C Patriots In Revolutionary War, by Bobby G. Ross, p. 560, LEE, John- #S 9372-Enl 3d Regt 19 Jul 1777 under Capt Joseph Worley; Reenl 1 May 1778 and 1 Feb 1780. Served under Gen Greene and Maj Hern in Battle of Stono, Siege of Charleston, Guilford Ct House, Camden, Eutaw Springs. N A 853 (Moved to Ga-Miss).
