Does anyone know who these LEA/LEE records belong to and if there is any relationship between the them? Francis LEE and Isaac LEE on petition to form Roane Co in Fall of 1799, then living in the eastern part of Roane, and no record of his having sold the property there. Might be records in Knox Co KY as Roane formed 1801 and Francis appears to have lived in that area taken from Knox (1st Constable of Roane). Roane Co Minute Book A, 1801-1805, p10 22 Dec 1802: Francis LEA, Patrick Burns and Robert Kirkpatrick were by the court at this term apptd constables for the County of Roane entered bond .sworn .. He was still constable June 1803 Session and Mar 1804. P187 21 Mr 1803 - Francis LEA served on jury for county Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions. Francis LEA and William LEA serving on juries and in Roane Co Court of Pleas and Quarter Sesions Min Bk B 1805-1807, p61: William LEA in 1805-07 served as constable. Francis LEA and William Lea serving on juries thru Sep 1807. William LEA vs William Davidson (estate): Jan 1806 and levied on a lot joining Kingston whereon William LEA formerly resided and no property found 3rd day of Mar 1806, cause continued. [appears from Roane records that Francis LEA, William LEA, and David LEA were all involved in land disputes - they were being sued for trespass-would this have anything to do with old NC Grants???] Then BLEDSOE CO formed from Roane: Bledsoe Co DB 12 Nov 1817; George Taylor sells to Francis LEE (b 1760-70), 50a in Sequatichie Valley, adjoining Adam Sherril and includes his improvement.
