Lee means that she was most likely married to a cousin. In the earlier days, nothing was understood about blood lines and genetic mutations, therefore if first cousins wanted to marry, they married. This not only tangles up the vines of our Family Tree, it creates genetic problems later down the road. Good luck! We too, are searching for that connection in the Lee line. I doubt there is anyone who knows the straight lines all the way back to England/Scotland with the Lee family. They were quite mobile and traveled from country to country often.
