Sherwood Lee, Jr. was my great grandfather. He was married toZilphia. He was born l852, april 19th and died Nov. 9, 1937. He is buried at Matthews Cemetary, on Lynch Rd., near Coward, SC, His father was Joshua Lee and mother Mary Carmon. They had 5 children:Preston, Minnie, Ella, Julia and Vonnie Lee. Joshua Lee was his father, 1815-1893 Richard (the Scholar) Lee, 11, 1647-1714, may be who you are looking for. He was educated at Oxford in England and may have studied law at London. He was married to Laetitia Corbin (daughter of Richard's neighbor,and Councilor,Hon Henry Corbin, Sr. (1629-1678). Hope this will be some help to you.
