My grandmother was a Richards. Her grandmother was named Anna Lee Richards. My grandmother told me that Anna Lee was a niece or great niece of Robt E Lee. Do you have any information that would prove that? I have even been to the Daughters of the American Revolution Library and they pointed me to this site! Anna Lee married Joseph Richards and lived in Alabama, I think. In my crude calculations, Anna Lee would have been born somewhere around 1850-1870. Any direction would help! Thanks.
