Does my James Thompson LEIGH connect with any of yours? He was said to be born in Virginia 16 May 1812 and married Mary COON 20 June 1824 in Butler county, Ohio. They had children Nancy Ann (1836), Amos Harrison (1839), Elizabeth J. (1841), Sophia (1844), Mary Sophia (1846) John Wesstley (1850), George Bowers(1855) and James Thompson (1859). Only hapf of them lived to adulthood. From Ohio they subsequently lived in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Coffey county, Kansas. Here his wife Mary died in 1876 and was sent back to Carroll county, Missouri for burial. Here James T. married a second time to Mariah J. McCALL in 1877 having one child who died shortly after birth. James T. died 26 Sep. 1886 and mariah in 1903. they are both buried at Coloma, Missouri. Kay (Kayfleming@aol.com)
