William LEE, b 1785, married Matilda ONEY, 1817, in Botetourt County, VA. By the late 1820's they had settled in Fentress County TN. Matilda ONEY was a minor, with guardian, when married, probably the daughter of a Benjamin ONEY, of Tazewell County VA, who died about 1800. Does anyone have any information of the LEEs of BOTETOURT, GILES or TAZEWELL Counties of Virginia, in the late 1700 to early 1800s? Does anyone know of other connections between ONEYs and LEEs?
