Some of this I have, like the 1880 census where it shows Samuel born in Mass. and parents in Alabama. I do not have the 1900 Census that shows he was born in Tn. And I also wonder if he was born in Alabama??? YES YOU ARE RIGHT ALL THIS IS SO CONFUSING!! I seem to keep running into dead ends with alot of questions and few answers. The info on Louise Sanders is very helpful. I did not have that. Thanks so much. I still do not know how to obtain Samuel's parents name. I have checked some census in Mass. and Alabama, but can not determine if what I have is correct or not. Any ideas on that? I was also trying to obtain death records in the hopes that his parents' names might be on that. But have not been able to figure out where he died. Emily died in Laurel Ms in 1920 and her death cert. said she was a widow (living with her son George Lee) Last census for Samuel was 1910, age 65, retired grocer. The only death cert. we have found in Davidson/Tn has not been him. He is not listed as buried beside Emily in Laurel, MS either. Any other ideas you may have would be so appreciated. THANK YOU!
