Author: Lynnette629 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.lee/11802.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I agree. It is important to verify information and cite sources. Mistakes get multiplied when we copy each others family trees. But it also harnesses a lot of people to search local information. Although I would love to travel the country, the world, searching for original information, it's not possible. (I really, really enjoy visiting local courthouses!) I have had DNA testing for genealogy. This causes me to be a less diligent when adding information from the trees of others. I figure that the DNA will help me sort of some of the main facts. I even found a family branch I didn't know I had through DNA testing. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
