    2. In a message dated 97-06-13 16:55:33 EDT, you write: << Linda, Saw your listing to Deb: you got my attention with the subject "LEE SC>AR", but I didn't see anything in the body refering to Arkansas. Can you do a little fill in for me. My LEE's migrated SC/TN>MS>AR and then they flower into OK, MO and TX. Hope to hear from you. Robin RJenn3110@aol.com >> Robin, I know you weren't talking to me on this but it's very interesting that your LEE's went from SC>TN>AR>MO. That seems to be the same trail as mine. maybe we need to talk. Also, wanted to update everyone on my progress (or lack of) on my entering and sharing my LEE/LEA info. Haven't moved forward very much. I have a very sick little granddaughter and have been focusing my attentions on her. But I'm still doing it, so don't give up on me. :-) Cathy

    1. LEE-Philadelphia
    2. Hi folks! Since this is a "new" list thought I'd repost my LEE brick wall... Am researching ancestors of: William L LEE, Ship's carpenter, b. 1829 Philadelphia, d. 16 Dec 1861 Philadelphia m. at St Paul's Church in S Philly on 12 Aug 1855 to Mary E MOORE (b. 1835). They had: Charles Florence (b. 31 May 1857, d. 3 Mar 1879 Phila) and Lafayette (b. 21 Jan 1859 and d. unknown bef 1940 Phila). Seem to be at a dead end with this line...Had one researcher suggest that I research Charles' middle name as surname FLORENCE since it appears to be a family name that has passed down to my grandmother....but have not been able to connect with anyone who might be of help....very frustrating! Any info would be appreciated! Robin

    1. LEE
    2. Schubart
    3. I have traced my great-great grandfather, Thomas Lee, to the town of Elba in New York from the 1880 Census. He came to this county from Wicklow, Ireland as a child probably in the years preceding or around the potato famine of the 1840s. His father was(Andrew?) Lee, who arrived with several children after an arduous voyage, during which his wife and two of his children were buried at sea. Does anyone know of any connections? Mary mschubar@suffolk.lib.ny.us

    1. William LEE
    2. I'm looking for information on the LEE family in CT, particularly the family of William LEE (or LEES), who died in 1740 in Norwalk, CT. His wife's name was Phebe (perhaps CHAPMAN?), and I have no data on her. The Sherwood genealogy is the only place I have seen her surname. I'm also interested in information on their son, William LEE, who was b. abt. 20 Jan. 1707/8 in Norwalk; died 06 Jan. 1791 in Fairfield, and was married to Sarah (Unknown surname...possibly BATES), b. abt. 1710; died 25 Jun. 1785 in Ridgefield. Can anyone help. Thanks. Kathy.

    2. I have very little info on my husband's LEE side, however his father's name was Emmett Anderson LEE, born approx 1898, because of the Anderson connection I wonder if related to your Anderson Lee. Emmett, I believe was born in Texas. The family definitely lived there in 1915 or so. Emmett's mother's name was unusual; Hescue Adelaide (maybe surname Robinson), she was 1/2 Cherokee (have a wonderful picture of her and Native mother). Other siblings of Emmett were/are Agnes, Allie & Alphie (twin dtrs), Ollie, Curtis... Please advise if any connection. Thank you Regards, Barbara Lee

    2. Dear Debi, My ancestor was Isaiah Lee, who was born in1806 in South Carolina. His second wife was also my ancestor. Her name was Demarias Dorman born in 1817 in North Carolina. I believe my ancestor Isaiah Lee's father was Thomas "Jordan" Lee from Richland County, South Carolina. Thomas "Jordan" Lee died in Tallapoosa County Alabama. Isaiah died in Coosa County Alabama. It seems that Thomas "Jordan" Lee could have immigrated from Scotland as a baby in about 1776. His parents are unknown. I have found other names of Thomas "Jordan" Lee's children. Thomas "Jordan" Lee's wife was Lidia Hodge. Linda
