I have been told she was related to Robert E. Lee but have nothing more than what I have listed below. Even a small bit of help would be appreciated. Priscilla, to the best of my knowledge was born about 1808, in either Patrick, Henry, or Hanover County, Virginia. Thanks, Pat A William Lee born 1730 Ulster Ireland came to America in 1744; landed in North Carolina; bound to blacksmith Quaker named Hoag for 7 years; his family was on next ship sailing for America and settled in Pennsylvania...when 21, William became a hatter and employed 20-30 people; in 1818 he was in NC with wife, Susannah Pike where he died; was a Quaker...on 4 Feb 1758 William was received into membership of Friends at Cane Creek meeting and in 1758 married Susannah Pike who was b. in Frederick Co. VA. William and Susannah had 10 children, one a William b. 1760. Was this William ever in Frederick Co. VA and does anyone have information on the parents of Susannah. Have two Pikes in Hopewell minutes. And, who may have been the members of the family that settled in PA?

    3. I need help with Scots-Irish, Presbyterian Lees of Cumberland Co. PA. My Thomas Lee b 24 Feb 1821 at that location moved to (Clinton) Indiana by 1839, along with other relatives including John Lee, Sr. b 1790 (Thos' uncle?) and Sarah Lee b 1784 (Thos' mother?) who is listed with her Indiana cemetery as wife of George Lee. I found a George Lee in Southhampton twp., Cumberland Co., who m a Sarah/Sally Latshaw 28 Mar 1811 and d 1824. He may have owned or been in connection with Lee's Tavern at Lee's Crossroads (I didn't say they were GOOD Presbyterians!). Anyway, as his second wife, Thomas m 7 Jan 1852 his cousin, Isabelle Lee b 12 Dec 1825 in PA, the d/o the above John Lee Sr. who had m 21 Apr 1812 Elizabeth Fulton in PA. Lee is mentioned as an "Old Settler of the county - settled prior to January 1, 1858." p. 53: "New Albany Township received its first settLers in 1855. These were John Lee, George Waltz and Al. Dalton."; p. 46: "On Monday, September 1, 1858, the Rev. H.W. Lee, Bishop of this Diocese, preached, and administered the right of confirmation to seven persons on the camp ground west of Iowa Center. It was the first time this service was ever performed in an Iowa Grove. The Bishop spoke of it as a very interesting era in his ministry. On Tuesday he preached in the court house, at Nevada, and confirmed one."; p. 411: Lillie A. Pense, age 1, and Mary E. Pense, age 7, listed as buried in the Sheffield Cemetery.     2. Trying to find information on Elon Lee who is listed in the 1850 NY census as being 52 years of age, born in VT. Elon married Charlotte Chadwick before 1824, probably in NY. Their children were: Daniel, Stephen, Laura, (?) male, Solomon, Eli, Elizabeth, Maria, Camilla, William, Harriet, Mary. This family lived in Perrysburgh, Cattaraugus County, NY until 1850, but I can not find Elon in any other federal census after that.     2. The following information does not prove the parents of John LEE Esq., but it does provide a real possibility........ Edward Franklin LEE (son of William Tinsley LEE, grandson of John LEE, great-grandson of Capt. Thomas LEE) Even though Edward is not part of the direct line of my direct descendants, he has provided us some interesting information about our ancestors. This resulted in a questionnaire that he answered that was sent to all Civil War veterans. The detail of his answers is listed in Appendix D. In his notes, he talks about his ancestry...."John LEE my grand-father was born 1776 in Hawkins Co. Tenn. He died in Maury Co. Feb 25, 1842. He married Frances LANE 1795 who was born in North Carolina June 15, 1763, died May 24, 1847. They had four children, three daughters, 1 son William Tinsley LEE my father. After his marriage 1795, his father gave him a farm in Claiborn Co. on Powell river where he owned and operated a griss mill in 1809 he purchased a farm in Maury Co. ten miles North East of Columbia where he spent the remainder of his life. His father was Capt. Thomas Lee came to Tenn from North Carolina settled in Hawkins Co. near Rogersville he was twice married and John was a son by the second union. He served as Capt. under Col. John Severe in the Revolutionary War. The founder of the family in America Richard LEE came from Shropshire Co. England and settle in York Co. VA in 1642."
