    1. Kendall and Thomas LEE
    2. All, Recently it has been asserted that Richard and Judith (Steptoe) LEE had twin sons, Kendall and Thomas LEE, born on 3 Dec. 1729. Can anyone substantiate this claim? Other research identifies daughters-- Mary*, Anne, Elizabeth*, Judith*, Letitia*, Lucy, Only son, Kendall* *In Richard's will. Anne and Lucy determined later to be daughters. In the probate of the will it was stated that there were seven (7) children. Of course, there were and are many claimants. The best work I have seen establishes Anne and Lucy. Anne was married before the will was written and Lucy was probably conceived and born after the will was written. No dates of birth for the children were given. Best regards, Hugh

Captain Thomas LEE of Hawkins Co., TN is reported to be born 1729 (source unknown). If so, he would be six (6) years old at time his alleged father, Richard LEE, wrote his will. Thomas is not named in that will. It is highly unlikely that a six year old boy would have rec'd his legacy or been disinherited. Thus, it is not reasonable to declare Captain Thomas LEE as part of the Ditchley lineage by way of Richard and Judith. There are unanswered questions regarding person or persons named Thomas LEE who can be identified by records. One is Thomas LEE who married Mary, daughter of Samuel GRIFFIN. 1. Re: [LEE] AFRO-AMERICAN LEEs IN NJ
    2. Hi Tonia, My parents never married. I know my grandfather lived to a ripe old age and that he lived in New York. I am not sure if he is mixed, Afro and American Indian or a full American Indian, but my grandmother (his wife I believe) was a full Afro American. But that is all I really know of him. My father was stationed in Germany just a short while. He later settled in Little Rock and had a wife and definately one daughter, my half sister (she is probably in her early to mid thirties now). I am 38. This is the only info I have. I do have my fathers service details up to 1969. I know he had a fishing gear shop in or near Little Rock, Arkansas, as he liked fishing as a hobby and he liked to drink Cognac? called Martell. That was my name for my first two years until my mom changed it to Daniela. I know that Afro Americans do not use the net much so it is very difficult to find anyone. Also their registration and other details are not as well documented as for white folks so it make research very very difficult. Maybe you can ask around your extended family to see if anyone is a match or knows someone. Maybe we are related, that would be so cool if it were true. Regards, Daniela
