Emily LeDuc Cherrier was born about 1819 in (probably) Wisconsin Territory. Her first mate was Pierre Hurtubise, nephew of Wabasha II, by whom she had 3 children. She 'married by Indian Custom" Dennis Cherrier about 1843 in St. Paul. The"Red River" reference has had me checking Pembina and the HBC records for a Leduc, Ledoux, Laduke, etc. Does anyonw have any clue as to what family this was? Looking for information per 1819.
