Another Administrator, Murray Pletsch, posted the following on other lists. I asked him if I could forward this... ******************************************************** Dear Listers: For some listers, the Canadians who fought during WW I are three or four generations in the past and they are the ancestors a lot of us are still tracing in our Family Trees. There is a formal Petition online at http://www.dominion.ca/petition which can be signed by Canadians to make a recommendation to the Prime Minister, to approve a State Funeral for the last surviving veteran of WW I. I had no qualms in signing this petition, as it allowed me an opportunity to be part of this timely effort to properly recognize and honour our ancestors who survived this horrible War and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their Family and Country. "We will remember". Bye for now.........Murray Pletsch Gravemarker Gallery - http://nocgg.maddoc.net Nostalgia Gallery - http://nocggh.maddoc.net
