I searched the db's on google newspaper archive, newspaperarchive.com, Ancestry.com historical newspapers, genealogybank.com. This is why you need the exact place and date of death. You may get lucky by posting that data, and someone will look for an obit at the local library in the area where the death took place as well as the area of longstanding residence of the deceased. Most libraries has their areas' newspapers on film, and some volunteers are happy to have a look, if they have some specific data to search and look-up.
