Mr. Elie Leduc, of Cornwall, Ontario, (retired truck driver, farmer and shepherd of Alexandria, Ontario; in Cornwall, he was a construction worker for the entire Seaway Project), age 84 years. Beloved husband for 56 years of Ethel (Major) Leduc. Dear father of Robert Leduc (Nicole) of Gatineau, QC, Hélène Summers (Steve) of Cornwall, Francine Wilson (Doug), Denise Le Houillier (Francis) both of Calgary, Alberta and Sylvie Leduc Johnston (Kevin) of Victoria, BC. Predeceased by one daughter, Lise. Cherished grandfather of Christina, Gabriel, Stéphanie, Kim, Nicole, Chantal, Marc, James and Ashley and great-grandfather of Luke McLeod and Mikayla and Logan Summers. Dear son of the late Antoine Leduc and the late Gloriana Doré and step-son of the late Elie David. Dear brother of Achilles Leduc (Eleanor) of Gravenhurst and Claire Crowley (Alphonse) of Alexandria. Predeceased by one sister, Marie-Reine Sabourin (Laurier) of Alexandria. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Rested at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch. Funeral on Feb. 18, for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Félix-de-Valois Church. Spring Interment, Sacré-Coeur Parish Cemetery, Alexandria.
