I've received many emails asking why I haven't been posting very much lately. I am recovering from an accident. To begin with... I have been wheelchair bound for more than 10 years --- I lost a leg to a flesh-eating virus. About two month ago I was hit from behind as I attempted to cross the street at a crosswalk. I was thrown from my chair and landed on my stump (amputated leg). That part has led to internal bleeding and swelling so I spend a lot of time in bed -- I'm using a wireless laptop. I also scraped a lot of skin on my good leg. My hands were bent backwards --- the swelling in my left hand has gone down enough that I can type with it but my right hand is so swollen that I have just started bending my fingers --- I don't type very well using only my left hand. Hi Gary, Like others, I was wondering too why you weren't posting the LEDUCs recently. I'm really sorry about your accident and hope you can improve greatly. The flesh-eating virus sounds absolutely horrifying. Although your LEDUC postings are very valuable to us, we want you to concentrate on recovery from the accident. Please don't feel rushed.
