Leduc his first wife died of tuberculosis in 1951, he then married his second wife and moved to CA before he died. What I never asked him as he died when I was only 13 and had no idea of our family history, was why wasn't he and his brother Matthew raised by his mother, Louise Paul instead of the Levine family. I will search further with those names but why he was raised by others is still a question. My Aunt Mary Ann the youngest of Edward's children is still alive and doing well, told me a story of bringing home a family tree assignment from school and when she started asking questions he became defensive about his mother, at the time (early 1950's) metis were looked down upon as subhuman.
