Merri, I have a copy of the Marriage indexing for your area. Following are all of the McPherson listing I could find, male and female. As you will notice your Damase McPherson seems to keep changing his first name but Mathilda seems to stay pretty consistent, and you are correct as to her parents. The McPherson surname I have not been able to trace any further back in Canada, but the Leduc surname I have. I have found 2 of their sons (Treffle and David-Daniel) in the 1881 Beauharnois and 1901 Montreal Census. Good luck Best regards Nina Marriage Indexing from St-Clément, Beauharnois 1818-1968 McPharson, Guillaume 23-11-1841 Leduc, Mathilde Guillaume et Mary Knight Guillaume et Elisabeth Montpetit-Poitevin McPharson, Henry 5-2-1839 Boyer, Adelaide Guillaume et Mary Knight Antoine et Amable Bissonnette McPharson, Treffle 16-2-1885 Leduc, Zepherine Guillaume et Mathilde Leduc Antoine et Marie Faubert McPherson, Mathilde 19-7-1864 Daigneault, Francois Guillaume et Mathilde Leduc Frs-Xavier et Angele Montpetit McPherson, Rose De Lima 25-8-1874 Dame, Zotique William et Mathilde Leduc Moise et Sophie Lazure McPherson, Josephte 12-7-1868 Laberge, Paul Alexandre et Mathilde Leduc Ignace et Josephte Montpetit McPherson, Odile 22-10-1866 Laberge, Noel Guillaume et Mathilde Leduc Charles et Josephte Bourcier Marriage Indexing from St-Timothée, Beauharnois 1823-1971 McPhreson, David 10-7-1877 Perron, Marie-Elise William et Mathild Leduc Damase et Mie-Elise Laderoute McPhreson, Hector 16-1-1923 Dorais, Antoinette veuf de Alzire Emond Pierre et Adeline Leduc McPherson, Mary 26-11-1827 Brousseau, Isidore William et Mary Knight Jn-Baptiste et Josephte Lacharite Marriage Indexing from Valleyfield, Beauharnois 1855-1970 Ste-Cécile, Valleyfield, Beauharnois McPharson, Margaret 17-10-1904 Dumont, Charles William et Nathalie Leduc veuf de Adeleine Bougie Ste-Cécile, Valleyfield, Beauharnois MacPherson, Joyse or Joyce 29-9-1958 Scherf, Alfred Cecil et Lucienne Gauthier Ludwing et Agnes Kalnick Every hour spent on genealogical research, however unproductive it appears, is worthwhile. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Merri Vinton" <merzi@arvig.net> To: <leduc-l@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 12, 2006 8:07 AM Subject: [LEDUC] LEDUC-MONPETIT I'm seeking information on the family of my g.g.g grandmother Mathilda Leduc who married Damase McPherson 1841 in St. Clemente, Quebec. She may have been the daughter of Guillame Leduc and Elizabeth Monpetit of Beauharnois, Quebec. I know nothing more of this family. Any information would be welcome. Thanks.
