My great grandmother, Marie or Mary was born in Canada on 5/15/1860. I'm told that's she's the only child of a previous marriage and that her mother died when she was an infant, but not a newborn & that she was placed with another couple who moved to Oxford MA. I can never find a record of her birth or her parents marriage. Her mother's name was listed as Philomeine Oakes in her marriage record (Cyrille Foournier - spouse) at Notre Dame Church in Central Falls. My mother told me that she took her to Central Falls once or twice to visit her half sibling, but didn't have any more info.. I'll follow some of the leads in this record. thanks. They can be seen in the Holyoke 1910 census spelled as LeDuc but in the 1920 and 1930 census as LaDuke. Sad but true. Delia Allair married Teddy and a photo from their wedding day is available on ancestry because I put it there. How did I get it? It came from my Grandmother, Antoinette (Masse) Phelps. She was sister to Flora (Masse) Allair, Delia's mother. I am interested in knowing if there is a link between Frederic/k, Teddy's father and some LeDucs in Hawley, Goshen and Chesterfield, MA. Elise LeDuc married Israel Ferron. Israel Ferron was half brother to Charles G. and Elise Ferron. Elise Ferron married Alfred Masse. Alfred Masse and Elise (Ferron)Masse are the parents of Flora (Masse) Allair, Delia's mother. The Masses and Ferrons all lived in Holyoke and Hawley, sometimes going back and forth depending on the census year. Any clues? Please contact me for further info or if you h! ave anything further on Teddy and Frederic/k. I am told by a great grandson of Elise LeDuc (who married Israel Ferron) that her parents may be (but he is not 100% positive)Pierre and Martine.
