Merri, I have a copy of the Marriage indexing for your area. Following are all of the McPherson listing I could find, male and female. As you will notice your Damase McPherson seems to keep changing his first name but Mathilda seems to stay pretty consistent, and you are correct as to her parents. The McPherson surname I have not been able to trace any further back in Canada, but the Leduc surname I have. I have found 2 of their sons (Treffle and David-Daniel) in the 1881 Beauharnois and 1901 Montreal Census. Adeline M. LeDuc - (Duluth News Tribune) Adeline M. LeDuc, 73, of Hibbing, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Adeline was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Chisholm, Minn., to John and Nathalie Wegener. She graduated from Chisholm High School in 1951. Adeline married Francis LeDuc on June 15, 1974. Unfortunately, she lost Fran to a massive heart attack on July 4, 1977. After Fran's death, Adeline was employed as a lift truck driver. She was a long time member at the Church of Christ in Hibbing, Hibbing Community Senior Citizen's, Tourist Senior Citizen's, and a supporter of Animal Allies. Adeline loved to crochet beautiful afghans, and enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. Her passion was to go to rummage sales and spend time with her pets. Adeline had a heart for serving others and spent many volunteer hours in her community. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frances; and dear friend, Arnold Gist. She is survived by her two brothers, John (Lynn) Wegener of Sun Lake, Ariz., and Dennis (Judy) Wegener of Iron; close loving friend, LouAnn (Gene) Rands of Cotton; grandchildren, Amy Kyte and Chris (Rebecca) Rands; grand grandchildren, Sam and Addison Kyte and Lily Ann Rands; dear friend, Donald Saline of Duluth; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; the Gist family; and a host of friends. VISITATION:1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, in the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel in Hibbing. LeRoy Murphy will officiate at the service. Interment will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Raymond Leduc - (Inside Bay Area) RAYMOND (N) LEDUC 73, of Hayward passed away on November 17, 2006 at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward of congestive heart failure. He was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on December 9, 1932. Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Pholomena Garcia and father, Joseph Pierre R. Leduc. He was the eldest of eleven children, a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Korean conflict, and a retired Teamster (Local #70). He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Leduc; daughters, Renee Leduc of Sacramento, Gena Ellis and husband, Mark of Nora Springs, Iowa; son, Raymond Joseph Leduc and wife, Debra of San Leandro; and his dearly loved granddaughters, Maria Matthews and Rochelle Ledo, both of Hayward. He is also survived by his sister, Carole Welch of Roseville, and brothers, Donald Leduc of Union City, W. Leroy Garcia of Castro Valley, Robert Garcia of Hayward, Gerald Garcia of Union City, Wayne Garcia of Carson, John Garcia of Hayward, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was beloved by many and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at the Neptune Society in Castro Valley on Monday, November 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. According to his wishes, his ashes will be scattered at sea. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in Raymond's memory to your favorite charity.
