    3. >From time to time AOL makes changes to it's email client. The following information is primarily for AOL members of Rootsweb lists... This is not an invitation to discuss AOL in general, or to discuss AOL email oddities on the list. Have a GREAT day!....... Gary ----- Original Message ----- FYI about a new AOL problem A new problem has come up today as a result of AOL adding a tagline to every email sent by an AOLer. For those of us using AOL versions 6.0 and later the new tagline which reads: ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at http://www.aol.com. ...doesn't seem to be creating any problem other than some people (non-AOLers) are receiving their digests with everything after the tagline lacking formatting and the list archives are displaying code for breaks (ugly) in the tagline. Here is one example from a message I posted today: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/AOLers-RootsWeb/2007-02/1172104920 For those RootsWeb list members who use AOL 5.0 and earlier (these old versions of AOL couldn't send/receive HTML at all) they are no longer able to post to any RootsWeb lists as of today. ...:-( The messages either just disappear of they get a bounce which looks like the one copied below: Subj: A new problem (probably just for me, though) Date: 2/21/07 5:51:48 PM Mountain Standard Time From: aolers-rootsweb-admin@rootsweb.com Sender: aolers-rootsweb-bounces@rootsweb.com To: xxxxxxx message's file extension was not explicitly allowed if you are using a rich text editor (colors, different fonts ect...) you must turn it off ------ The problem is that the posters are not using any file extention and they are not sending in HTML --the tagline being added by AOL is creating the problem.

    3. Hi List, This is my good-bye to all of you for now. Our first grandchild is 12 days old, so my priorities are changing for the moment..... long moment, since grandchild #2 is due in 3 months. I would stay on list, except I am on several and I will be traveling back and forth to the grandchildren. They are close, but just not quite close enough for day trips. ;-))))) If you find one of my submissions of interest, you can reach me direct at rbbtfarm@wavecable.com. Also any "rbbtfarm@........" postings on various Gen. sites, is probably me, unless someone has appropriated my, "rbbtfarm". Been using it many years with several internet servers. If you want to check for info, there are many postings by me under the "rbbtfarm" handle. I had hoped to include a brief recap of my info per each group, but that isn't going to happen. I have greatly enjoyed being part of each individual list and have much data to sift through in the mean time. Everyone has been so very informative and that I will miss. To each list manager, I will be sending an official "unsubscribe", but wanted to say good-bye to everyone first. Hope to be back once the newborm "dust" settles, maybe next fall. However, it will take time to organize all the wonderful info provided by all of you. Until then, good hunting to all...... Best regards, Tricia M.

    3. Hi Leduc Listers, A friend sent me the following marriage writeup on Edith LEDUC. I haven't found out yet if she's in my line but until I find out, someone else on the list might like to have the info too: Marriage of Ernest Rocque and Edith Leduc In Washington County NY - I think it was in Whitehall, NY. Whitehall Times August 1, 1918 Rocque-Leduc Marriage. Pretty Wedding Solemnized at Notre Dame des Victiores This Morning Ernest Rocque, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Rocque of Wheeler Avenue, and Miss Edith Leduc daughter of Charles Leduc, were united in marriage at a low mass at Notre Dame des Victoires church at 7:30 o'clock. Rev. Peter Benion officiated. A wedding breakfast was served. They were attended by Romauld Rocque, brother of the groom and by Miss Bernice Gendron. The little brothers of the groom, Leo and Marc Rocque assisted at the mass which was largely attended. The bride and groom left town by motor after the wedding breakfast was served. The newlyweds are among the most esteemed and popular young people in the village. The Whitehall Chronicle Leduc - Rocque A very pretty wedding took place last Thursday morning at the Notre Dame des Victoires church when Miss Edith Leduc and Ernest P. Rocque were united in marriage. The bride wore a traveling suit of London Gray satin. Miss Bernice Gendron acted as the bridesmaid and Romuald Rocque, brother to the groom, was best man. A very appropriate breakfast was served by the groom's mother, Mrs. Ferdinand Rocque, 12 Wheeler Avenue. After the breakfast the young couple left on the 9:30 train for Rouses Point and various places North. The bride and groom have a host of friends who extend to them their best wishes.
