Does anyone have anything about a Robert Edward Lee Ledford known to have lived in Halifax County/Petersburg Virginia in the 1880's? It is surmised that he was born in the 1860's was married to a German immigrant named Ida Lucinda Victoria Knipe. He was the father of REL Ledford Jr. and Ella Halligan Ledford (born 1887). He disappears c. 1890. I have no information on him beyond this. Does anyone recognize him or the name Halligan? This is my biggest deadend. Hoping desperately someone has info!
