THANK YOU MILES for the lesson plans for NFS and FAMILY TREE. Loretta at Elk Grove Family History Center. I put page numbers at the bottom of the 2nd and 3rd parts just in case I drop the binder and it all falls out. These will be so helpful to our patrons. How are you guys splitting/setting up your SS classes? We are a small ward and trying to get just the married couples to attend, never mind their more techie minded teenagers, is nigh impossible. Secondly, once someone has been through some education, how do you keep them hooked? The classes are very popular. We have a revolving schedule of classes with research, nFS, and PAF as class options. With the change in focus for family history to the ward High Priest group leaders and the fact that the members do not have to clear names through temple ready at a family history center that part of our reporting responsibility is no more. It took our stake president about 45 seconds into a conversation we were having just before we went live to realize that would no longer be part of our report to the stake. We do continue to track attendance at the center and are just now starting to see the return of our members to the center after nearly a year and a half since going on nFS. The easy pickings in their family tree has fallen and now they're coming back for training in research. Also, those that are new arrivals to the area come to learn how to use the program.
