    3. I have been helping a nonmember or about a year to research his father's line who came over from Belgium beginning with his father. We ordered a Belgium population register for the time period that is needed but I guess that those records only track movement in the population? Was there any sort of a census record taken in Belguim for the time period 1850-1950? He talked to someone in SLC and they steered him to film number 782912 stating that the Belgium Civil Registrations for the area Knesselare, Oost Vlaanderen, Belguim are online. When I went there, I only found some indexed records and they were mostly later records and NO original digital films. I found a link of known problems with a statement, "The images for the Belgium Civil Registration, 1795-1920, collection have been temporarily removed from the FamilySearch website to assist with the development plans of the Belgian National Archives' website. We apologize for the inconvenience." Is anyone in the know about this situation and what the Belgian National Archives' website is? The nonmember is not very computer literate so it is a struggle for him to even find the records in the catalog. I am hoping to help him after church tomorrow as he lives in the neighborhood with this collection. Thanks for any information if you are aware of what is going on. I do not have any Belgium lines myself. Nancy Scott
