    3. Hi Listers, Many of us on the list have done research related to family history that may have more to do with community histories. For instance, we have inventoried cemeteries and included the history of the cemetery in our work. I live in a community on Puget Sound in the state of Washington with about 700 homes. Our community is a homeowners association, that is, everyone living in the community belongs to our homeowners association. This year is the 50th year of our existence--the land was first developed in 1962 so our community will be celebrating our 50th anniversary this year. I have been asked to organize this year-long anniversary program which will include doing a history of the community. This history will be preserved for the future in the clubhouse and will include information about the original land owners, etc. Although it will have little genealogical value, it still will be valuable in preserving the history of this community. I would very much appreciate any suggestions/ideas that you all have about what to put in this history and how to go about creating it. Also, if you have any ideas about how to make this year an "historical" year for our community, I would be interested in those. Thanks very much. Gay Davis
