Gay, you might set up a facebook page for the community history project and ask people who live in the community now to invite friends who have moved away to post some of their remembrances on the facebook page. Alumni-types. Maybe ask for photos tagged with the residents' names and marked with dates. How about the people who grew up there - what ever happened to...? Grew up & made good...? Were there families who did join their genealogies by marrying hometown sweethearts? Or is this a retirement community?
