    3. Actually this was long before there was nFS, even before Ancestral File. I see a lot of assumptions in the records long before 1983. Only in nFS, this was brought to light. 3. Well, I have the impression that assumptions were somewhat encouraged. I have seen a lot of end-of-line John Does getting sealed to Mr. and Mrs. Doe, born approximately 25 and 21 years before John in the same location. My wife has an ancestor born in 1763 who married in 1784, had 16 children from 1785 to 1809, then widowed and married again and had 7 more children from 1810 to 1826. Someone found the record for this 1826 baby and assumed he married his second wife in 1825, then estimated his birth date as 1800. In 1800 he already had 11 children. Submitting a man born 1763 in Uruguay and having the FHC CD pick up that he was a duplicate with a man "born" in 1800 in Brazil -- now that would have been a feat. Good thing we got nFS -- and even better with Family Tree. > Date: Fri, 31 May 2013 11:50:51 -0600 > From: dsam52@sampubco.com > To: lds-ward-consultant@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [LDS-WC] Cleaning up on Family Tree > > Actually this was long before there was nFS, even before Ancestral File. > I see a lot of assumptions in the records long before 1983. > > Only in nFS, this was brought to light. > > David > > On 5/31/2013 11:07 AM, JCBrooks@aol.com wrote: > > I really don't understand how the data got so convoluted during a move.
