Hello, This is probably an unusual request, but since everyone on this list is so good at finding people and writing history, I thought I might ask. My ward in Brazil was created 50 years ago. As part of the celebrations (which includes an addition to our meetinghouse), we would like to identify former branch presidents: Gerold L. Walker 01/out/54 01/jan/55 Arnold E. Webb 01/jan/55 01/jun/55 L. Dale Braithwaite 01/jun/55 01/nov/55 Douglas Paul Reid 01/nov/55 01/mai/56 James R. Palmer 01/mai/56 01/dez/56 Garth C. Loosli 01/dez/56 24/abr/57 I believe they were missionaries at the time, and each one served for a short period as a Branch President of the Porto Alegre Brazil Ward, as indicated. In 1957, the second branch was created, and we have had local members serve as presidents since then. You will also notice that I mentioned the ward being created 50 years ago, but the first president I have in the list above was called in 1954. So, it is also important to find these missionaries because that may help identify who the first presidents were. I have also checked the Church Directory of Leaders for extra information, but the above is all I have got. Maybe try searching for them on a mission website. I served 26 yrs ago in Spain and quite a few of us are listed on our mission website.
