The names must go all over the world, I just had a ward member call for help this morning with her half sister, and found that after she did the baptism and confirmation in Sacramento Temple one year ago, the initiatory was done in Manilla, Philippines, and the endowment was done in Manti, Temple, both of these last ordinances were done only in the last couple of weeks. So I don't know how that works, but it seems to be working fine. Family search is a lot easier to talk to people directly for help now, so I appreciate that a lot, and the man I spoke to was in Arizona and he said he was off at 9PM at which time members on the other side of the world, like Africa or Europe, would take over and the calls would be forwarded to them. I find that amazing! How are we going to get FamilySearch back to the original premise (as I understood it in 2007) which is that any submitted name will go to whichever temple in the world needs names, not just your zip code temple? That would equalize the flow and maybe I wouldn't have names taking two years to finish!! Michele In a message dated 5/15/2013 10:43:21 A.M. Whenever I've been there on a Ward/Stake day, I've seen piles of name slips on the counter with a Stake & Ward card behind it, for patrons to take a name if they'd like. Would think there are also name slips on other days as well--we can't be the only stake who has patrons doing this. Alice Allen Oakhurst Ward/Vancouver WA Stake
I get the Aussies nights and I'm in Salt Lake City. Only two instances I got 2 Germans and they were very very thoroughly and good.
