I am also in the Portland temple district. Whenever I've been there on a Ward/Stake day, I've seen piles of name slips on the counter with a Stake & Ward card behind it, for patrons to take a name if they'd like. Would think there are also name slips on other days as well--we can't be the only stake who has patrons doing this. I like the idea of having a place for our Stake Temple Names to be done. We have a large Temple the Portland Temple. I think it would help us draw closer as a Stake. I would be delighted to work on Stake names as well as my own. Of course I know we need to do what is best.
