Yes, I did all those things. But this was the FIRST time I've been asked for such detail when NFS is the one in error. There are so many messed up records that they are just asking about your relationship before they make any changes. It should be fairly easy to find a census showing the children of this individual and leading to your grandparents and down to at least your parents. These are not demands, but simple request of proof of relationship. I have been in the sealing room when they only have submitted Mr Brown and children Master Brown, Miss Brown etc and all born in the 1800s, which is sloppy research. If you have a copy of a census with their names on it, just scan, attach to email with your Case number on it and send it. Hope this helps. This person was born in 1862 and descends from a common ancestor of mine. Isn't it a little bit of overkill to ask for jpgs of records...some of which don't even exist like birth certificates in 1862, or personal knowledge of a close family member (150 years ago?) I am technically capable of this and will comply, but 90% of church members would walk away from this. I have asked for similar release of names so I could complete temple work and never received this kind of reply. Seems like overkill in the worst, most discouraging way.
