Did you phone their hotline and talk to New Family Search Support? Here is their number if you don't have it...1-866-406-1830 They were very helpful in removing a name someone else had merged into my family tree, that messed everything up as it was the first name on the list of merges and I could not unmerge it. Try calling if you haven't already. I has asked on many occasions for the "Family Search" designation to be removed from the submitter position so I could clear the name that I had originally submitted before they messed it all up when we switched to NFS...it's only been 5 years...who is in a hurry? Usually they come back within a day and say "It's done, happy to help." What's with all this nonsense? This request has nothing to do with doing names that aren't my family, or changing data. There must a way to discern between the two. Do any of you have connections to Patron Services? Please make them aware. Pacific Daylight Time Subj: Reference: ordinances (CaseID:2628538) Dear Sister Brooks, Case 2628538 Thank you for your patience and for sending the information we requested. You would be totally amazed as to how many people do not follow church policy and try to do ordinance work outside of their family files. This causes great contention in the church. Imagine if someone did work for your family without your permission and was totally unrelated to you. Your case has been reviewed and was forwarded to experts in another department for further examination. They will contact you directly when they have completed their investigation. Please be aware that it may take some time before they are able to get back with you. No other action on your part is necessary. If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to contact us by email, chat, or by calling 1-866-406-1830. You may also search for answers in the Help Center located in New FamilySearch by clicking on the link at the bottom of every page. We hope you will receive much joy and satisfaction in all your family history endeavors. We appreciate all the work you do as Family History Consultant.
