    3. While we're on the subject, I want to kick a female out of the family who was submitted by somebody whose email is no longer valid. She has a male name according to this person, but I have extensive info on the male by the same name in the family, and the marriage info is there, with the kids and appropriate temple work has been done. Am I going to have to put a dispute on her, or is there another way to remove the mythical female from the family since I can't contact the submitter? There's certainly no reason to waste time doing temple work for her. 3. A sister in our stake had a problem with one woman - her 2 husbands all of a sudden were together in one. She erroneously had combined them. The problem was to find the way to uncombine and isolating. In her case it was kind of simple but where a number of people have combined in various ways and with wrong genders it is more complicated. I had one case where one sister had submitted a husband as wife and wife as husband and added 4 of their 8 children to this odd couple. I did all the un combining I could and then I asked SLC for assistance on correcting the gender of the couple. Then finally I could get all the children together witn their correct counterparts. I do not know if this is a help in this case - but un-combining has been a solution to many of the problems I have encountered. 3. Karen - I had success with doing this type of thing a couple of times. Maybe I was just lucky in who got my help request but this is what I did: 1) reserved the person with the wrong gender so the work would not be done in error while the process worked it's way through. 2) Created a case, included my helper info (I know - why? since the system knows who I am when I create the case, but they always ask). 3) Described the problem (bogus female of same name, etc. as real male). Expressed my concern in wanting to improve the integrity of the data. Asked them to delete (they most likely won't delete the bad record, but just suppress it so it is not visible) or suppress it from public view 4) Included links to pertinent documents that supported my request. In most cases, I was lucky in that I was able to point to multiple census & vital records that happened to be available for these families on FamilySearch, so I just re-did the search, found them, copy & pasted the URLs into my case request. 5) got a fairly quick response thanking me for my concern about the integrity of the data and saying that my request had been forwarded to the appropriate department/people. 6) got a fairly quick response from that department/person that the record had been suppressed. All in all it took about a week or two and was done. That's what worked for me.
