Interestingly, at the temple we receive through temple files and patron cards all the awful combinations that you all have described. Titles before the given, titles behind the given name, twin, nicknames, you name it. Somehow the system is clearing those names. Michele In a message dated 6/9/2009 11:19:45 A.M. Found out hard way - the possibilities of more than one "Mrs. Mary Doe" multiple real fast and nfs doesn't recognize "Mrs." nFS nearly classified one of my ancestors Elizabeth Gent as Elizabeth, with "Gent" listed as a suffix! Gent stands for Gentleman. nFS DOES accept given names only if listed as spouses. David Samuelsen Nancy Scott wrote: > David, > > If I found Mary as a name for a wife, I would put Mrs. Mary Doe. There are certain and proper ways to list prefixes and suffixes. I find them in nFS and corrected them as I find them. Reverend is not a given name except of a few rare cases. Squire may be a given name but most are not. in nFS, when editing the name, there is a way to correct and display properly the information. W.
