Jeff: I don't know current church policy on this, but I can give you information from a situation in my family history. My great-great-grandfather was associated with a young couple about to be married in the mid-1800s. The young man was killed shortly before the wedding, leaving the young lady without a groom. This was in the days of polygamy, and it ended up that my 2nd great grandfather married this young woman for time, but had her sealed to her deceased fiance. So your request is not wholly unique, and it has been granted in the past. Gaylon jeff_campbell wrote: > Forgive me if this is the second posting of this message...... > > > Long story short. I am a new convert and was engaged to a member that was killed in an accident. I asked the missionaries last night if it was possible that she and I be sealed still since we were engaged to be married and the Elders had no clue. Does anyone know if the church makes special arrangements for situations like this? Her parents, who are recent converts themselves, I'm sure would testify on my behalf that we did have plans to marry. > > Just wondering, > > Jeff > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Doctorate Degrees Online > Advance your career with an online degree.
