1.Are you entering the information you have on living members of your family such as cousins and their children that are nonmembers on nFS? 2.Also, something else that is a curiosity to me. Some of the work that I sent in years before the duplicate work was performed now have later dates for confirm. and initiatories. These ordinances were performed at the time baptisims and endowments were performed, right?? It's not a problem but it is a curiosity every time I run across this. 1. I am not bothering to enter information on living people. I have that in my PAF file. I will make sure my children and grandchildren have access to it. 2. Sometimes, earlier ordinances such as confirmation and initiatory do not show. Then, the system may combine older baptism and endowment dates and newer confirmation and initiatory dates (because the older ones do not show), such as: Older record: B: 10 Jan 1994 C: not shown I: not shown E: 30 Mar 1994 Newer record: B: 10 Aug 2002 C: 10 Aug 2002 I: 10 Aug 2002 E: 18 Sep 2003 With the combined record being: B: 10 Jan 1994 C: 10 Aug 2002 I: 10 Aug 2002 E: 30 Mar 1994 I have not bothered to correct these as of yet. -------------------------------------------------- From: <phlander2@juno.com> Sent: Monday, June 08, 2009 12:01 PM To: <lds-ward-consultant@rootsweb.com> Subject: [LDS-WC] nFS > 1.Are you entering the information you have on living members of your > family such as cousins and their children that are nonmembers on nFS? > 2.Also, something else that is a curiosity to me. 1. Yes I enter the information on all my living relatives and also extended family - but I leave the death information empty - mostly I do not know the dates anyway. Because then it is much easier for my children to take over at a later time and other relatives. With no death dates no-one else can see the information that is in my file anyway.
