    3. We have always been instructed to never use 'son' or 'daughter'. As long as the sex of the child is entered it will be on a pink or blue card accordingly and should be addressed by 'Miss' or 'Mr.' As someone stated earlier, if son or daughter is used too often it will come up for combining for all of them with that as the name. Male and female should never be used as a first name, either. The sex will also determine that. However, I have had instances where a child was born but the sex was not enter, just that it was stillborn or died shortly after birth. Those are the ones that I have no idea what to do with.
