Michele, I believe that this is an instance where looking at the information in Family Tree instead of NFS is helpful. There is a drop down box so you can select yourself or the temple. I have an ancestor that is assigned to the temple but the work is not yet completed and so it still shows up in my Temple list in Family Tree. I like the idea that the individual remains on the list until the work is completed. That way you know whether progress is being made or not. In my opinion, this is not a bug but a feature.
