    2. Interesting, but I haven't had any other problems with combining or submitted names via GEDCOMS. Musta been a one time thing??? Michele In a message dated 6/13/2009 9:54:37 P.M. Then when you upload that record to new family search that read only status would still be in effect. When I get the read-only message, it says that "one" of the records is read-only and it doesn't say which one. In my resolved cases, the read-only records were duplicate membership records. The current case that has not been resolved for me is my living in-laws, so I can't send you to look at the file. In that case, I hand-entered them, so there was no electronic transfer. I believe the problem is in the membership record that the Church had already tied to my husband's record. That one didn't show up until I had hand-entered their information, because they are living. Now, he has a duplicate set of parents, and they can't be merged because of a read-only file. All of my deceased read-only problems have been resolved through reporting them to Support.
