    2. Yes...you do have more opportunities for group baptisms. Currently we schedule one per day (other than family file or stake temple days). I wish we could have more. I find it hard to get my ward members a time to go. Many would like to go in the evenings, but those times are blocked off for ward/stake assignments. Michele In a message dated 6/3/2009 6:48:40 P.M. However, you are assuming one youth baptism assignment per day. When our 10 kids arrive to do their 50 names (they only get 5 per person), there is a group in the font area and one in the chapel area waiting. By the time they leave, there is another group in the chapel behind them and another arriving at the recommend desk. There are multiple group assignments every day, in addition to walk-ins for family file. I don't know at this point if Provo does more baptisms than endowments each day. I suspect it is more in balance because of the rules that are in place, but the font is open an average of about 13 hours per day. That's a lot of baptisms! **************Shop Inspiron, Studio and XPS Laptops at Dell.com (http://pr.atwola.com/promoclk/100126575x1222616459x1201464730/aol?redir=http:%2F%2Fad.d oubleclick.net%2Fclk%3B215218145%3B37264238%3Bd)

When that group can only be 10 kids and we have 60 kids in the ward, that shows you why each individual person has fewer opportunities to participate. I don't know how many UVU wards there are, but there are well over 200 BYU wards in addition to our local wards. That's why we have fewer assignments per year. It's the logistics of giving every ward an opportunity. Jill Crandell
