Those who constantly do throrough research often just find enough to merge incomplete duplicates, and generally focus on a family group at a time. I tend to think to assignements such as "1000 names by such date" come from people who never do any research. I wrote "tend to." If a leader wants that done, I do my part the best I can. However, Jill is right that is it "research, THEN temple trip." I do believe she has not gotten very far with that, too. She is also right about the time to perform the other ordinances. Recently a youth had five "names" for baptism and still had five from her previous trip. She then asked me if some adult could perform the missing ordinances for those previous five while she performed those five baptisms... All she could see was three empty boxes marked "initiatory," "endowment" and "sealing." Finally, I also dislike the usual reference to "names." We should talk about "people," not "names."
