    2. Okay, maybe this is a dumb question.....if I go to _www.familysearch.org...I_ (http://www.familysearch.org...I) go there because I want to use all the free records, look at the digitized books, etc. They are still going to have that aren't they? I also enjoyed the old word lists and research guides which may or may not be in the wikis. Michele In a message dated 4/26/2012 11:17:55 A.M. This was not intentional, and we apologize for the premature removal of this link. However, after careful consideration, we've decided not to replace it. The reason for this is because in the very near future, we will remove the Classic FamilySearch site entirely. When that happens, the link to that site will no longer be needed. The shutdown of the Classic FamilySearch site will take place after we have completed the addition of some of our improved and new site features. We also need to finish transferring all of our data to the new site. Until we make that move, you can still get to the Classic FamilySearch by typing classic.familysearch.org." -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Cathe Taylor Sent: Thursday, April 26, 2012 1:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [LDS-WC] large temple ordinance files Hi, I have a question about the Classis Familysearch site which contained the 1880 re-indexed U. S Census. Can if be found anywhere in the same format where one can search neighboring households page by page? The original on Ancestry is much harder to read and search and I miss the other? Help! I have contacted familysearch support and no one seems to know anything about it. 3. all word lists are already in the Wiki along with all guides. The guides are so outdated, based on pre-internet access to records. The main page of new format: at top of the page are FamilySearch (it is clickable), Learn, FamilySearch Centers, Indexing, Blog "Family Tree" shows up between FamilySearch and and Learn when you sign in. and inside white area, there is another line Records, Trees, Catalog, Books Trees are those from Ancestral file and Pedigree Resource Files Books are the ones digitalized and contains more than 45,000 books. Now to where word lists and guides are... Go to "Learn" link Then to Research Wiki. You won't find "Guides" there. They had been broken down to sections, within state pages. They are now labeled Topics.
