We must remember to teach our members that the NFS and FT are for the deceased. The living are not visible in most cases -- even then only to those with the "need to know". They are there to link the deceased to the living members on the pedigrees. Having expressed these ideas, ask your friend a couple of questions. (1) Were her deceased parents sealed together the same day she was sealed to them? If so, that is the same date for the ordinance when she was sealed to her parents. She will be able to see the date they were sealed together on the lds ordinances screen. (2) Has she received an individual ordinance summary from her ward clerk (or the membership clerk)? Many clerks give out a report at the time of tithing. Unfortunately, many members do not realize how valuable that individual ordinance summary is. (Always keep the latest copy in your personal files.) How can I help a member find her own sealing to parents information in nFS? She was sealed to her already deceased parents many years ago. She just registered to nFS and she can see her membership information (wirh her married name, not maiden name), but no sealing information. Thank you already for your help.
