Arthur C. M. Kelly, compiler, Baptism record of Shokan Reformed church, Shokan, Ulster County, New York, 1799-1899, Includes membership lists, 1799-1898; and deaths, 1856-1898. (Rhinebeck, New York : Kelly, c1987), Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150 USA, 974.734/S3 K2k. This is what I have in my records for the individuals. What is so despicable? Having to break up the source into individual items to fit in the broken up "Source" format. What a waste of time EACH TIME. What's worse? Where's the specific entry for CHURCH record under "Published Information"? And for Family Tree - where is the tab to enter sources? W. David Samuelsen
The New FamilySearch staff has openly admitted that the current source function is not good. They are actively working on improving that portion of the program, so I (and many others) am electing not to enter sources until the "new and improved" sourcing is available. It causes far less frustration! :-) Maybe that isn't what they would like us to do, but the current system is difficult enough that I don't have time to mess with it. I would say it is important to give feedback and then be patient for programming changes. Jill Crandell -----Original Message----- From: W. I hardly ever bother with sources in nFS at this point. So far, the source is "me" and I can be contacted for details. I agree with you, Bro. Samuelsen, the current format is a waste of time. -------------------------------------------------- From: "W.
