    3. I was amazed to learn that Provo can print cards from an NFS FOR. Are there other Utah/Idaho temples that can do that? Draper? TIA Robert

Robert, I can't answer your question specifically, but I can tell you the thought process behind what is happening. In Utah, the members go to any number of temples--not just the temple in their temple district. To roll-out NFS by temple district wouldn't work very well, because a member in the Provo district could just as easily attend the Mt. Timpanogos temple and have problems if it was not on the system yet. The same problem would exist with Salt Lake, Bountiful, Jordan River, Draper, etc. The thought was that Utah would almost need to be released at once, as a whole, and the system might not handle the load very well. There are two halves to the roll-out. One is the equipment and the temples going onto the new system, the other is the membership going onto the system. What is happening is that the temples are quietly setting up the equipment so that they can handle FORs in addition to the TempleReady system, and the membership half is being rolled out one stake at a time. This way, programmers can watch how the system handles the load one stake at a time, and members of a rolled-out stake won't have problems going to any temple that they typically attend. I have been quite impressed with the problem-solving that has gone on with this entire process. Solutions have been rather creative as this whole release has progressed. I would say that if you need to know if a specific temple has their equipment set up, give them a call. I don't expect public announcements on that half of the roll-out. Jill Crandell

    3. At the South Davis Family History conference held March 7th, Don R Anderson, who is the head of the Family History Library and Family History support, said they would roll out the stakes in the busiest temples last. He said, "South Jordan is our busiest temple, and Bountiful (where the conference was being held) is very busy also. You guys will be last." Doris Bateman ----- Original Message ----- From: Jill N. Ray, I wish I knew which stakes will be rolled out when, but that information is held pretty tightly and could possibly change as the roll-out progresses. Since I am in Provo, I was aware of the Provo Temple capacity to print from FORs. I don't know about any other specific temples. What I know is the thought process behind what is happening that I expressed in my earlier email. Sorry I can't help more than that. The whole process is being watched and evaluated continually, with adjustments to the process depending on how it goes.
